Mavchamp, Anxiously awaiting your take on this one. Looked alot like the same. I think our PLAYERS kept this one in check the best they could. I have to ask
your opinion on why we leave potential threats standing on the sideline when it COULD have made a difference. Not taking anything away from the other players,
but Kilgore had our #. Why at this point are we not using every talent we have to throw the defense a curve that they have not seen on tape. Short
Explanation-We ran a two back offense the 1st game of the season and it worked, never ran it again until last week against MP and it worked again, this week
back to the same old thing that every potential opponent that has seen the tapes or do research has figured out they basically have to cover 2 maybe 3(at
times) players and they have us SHUT DOWN.

If you think you can do better, I'd advise you to apply to coach.

Petey, Never said I could do better nor do I want to coach. Were you there? Did you see the same game? How many times do you run up the middle for little or no gain before you try something different? If you WERE THERE and seen the lead up plays to our scores they were receptions(ie,.passing game), kickoff return and QB run. Why don't you look at the stats in the paper tomorrow then log on and attack me some more!! I want this team to be a championship team which I believe they are and I believe will be next year, but you have to have championship level coaching as well, not an offense designed for 1 or 2 players. Attack all you want, but the truth is in the STATS! |

We had a chance to win the game, but we made a crucial mistake that cost us a playoff win. That bad snap/miscommunication/whatever put us in a bad situation
and Fitz threw an Int. But Reddic was unbelievable. Out of close to 60 plays he had the ball 53 times. He ran for 346 yds and the qb had the other 7 yds for
kilgore. Both are school records for Kilgore and I think he set either the season or career or both rushing yardage for the dogs. We got outplayed on the line.
They were blowin our dline off the line of scrimmage and getting to the next level. I think the only way we could have stopped them is to put 10 in the box.
Its a good thing that they couldn't catch the ball, or we would have ben down even more. I just wish we could have got Darius the ball more. He dropped a
few, but he never got an end around or direct snap to run with. This is one of the top athletes in Texas and we got him the ball twice and only attempted 4 or
5. Harris made some great plays. Would have liked to seen J.C get more than a few touches also. Congrats to Kilgore for a well deserved win. Another great MHS
- KHS battle til the end.

4. The 1st and 10th games were against J-ville and MP..... who went a combined 6-14 I think this season. We might need to aim a little higher.

Operamav, agree 100% there were crucial mistakes made at the wrong time. Damien(sp) Harris was a winner with heart tonight regardless of the score. Actually
worked to make the catch(s) and MADE the catch(s). That has been a weakness for us all year. JC was one of our threats that I felt we left on the sideline
tonight not that he would have changed the outcome but would have thrown a kink in their coverage that could have opened other gains. Another was Grogan(did
play most of the game), yes he dropped one but should have had more attempts than (1).

To be fair, I wasn't there, and I'm a Longview fan. And I didn't even read your post, I'm just saying... Why complain on a message board? If
you want new coaching, you know where to go to push for it, right?
