I saw this in yesterdays Dallas paper. Former Mav and current SMU Mustang, Justin Smart has been suspended for the final two games of the season.

This brings the total to 17 players that have been suspended for various reasons from the SMU football team this season.

Sounds like June Jones is setting examples.....good for him. If they give him 3 more years he'll get it turned around. I think he realized early he's
gonna have to tear it down
and rebuild. That's certainly the time to put the hammer down. |

Eh, I'm not the biggest June Jones fan. He does what he HAS to do, because he'd get hammered by the NCAA if he didn't suspend players. But he took
in players like Colt Brennan, and lacked class in many of his games. And who can forget the Houston brawl that his players started?
I think he's a heck of a coach and has amazing schemes. Heck, he took a winless Hawaii team and turned them into bowl game contenders in ONE year. I just think he's a jerk. |
