I realize Marshall can run an explosive spread at times(works better for teams that can actually pass the ball well), but there also seems to be tons of
penalties and turnovers from it. With the talent and running ability we have this year, I would like to see Marshall get in something a little more simplified
to maybe help decrease mistakes while still moving the ball effectively. I think Marshall would benefit from putting in an I-formation or something similar.
Putting Fitz at Qb, J.C at fullback, and K.D at tailback. Also put Denzel at T.E so he can use his big body to block while still running some effective routes
at times to keep defense honest. Then spread Darius out way wide(give him space to make plays) along with another wr(possibly Anderson or Harris). Make teams
move safeties out wide to help cover them to take more potential tacklers out of the play for the running game. If they don't move safeties over, then beat
them deep. Mix in screens and play actions to help the passing game and running game become easier if need be(See Sulphur Springs Offense). I believe doing
this could make our offense harder to stop down the road in the playoffs(if we can get there). While also help cut down on untimely miscues. You can have all
the talent in the world, but if you don't utilize them in the right spots in the correct offense then it spells inconsistency.
