For almost 20 years this is the same issues with Marshall and the fans, they are loyal to a fault. Finishing 4th in district and 3rd last year, with a ton of talent. For the one that said Rock should be coach, I did coach on the college level and dang sure know that I could coach this team.

I'm not in Marshall but I see somethings I would change.
1. Trash the patty cake preseason schedule
2. Find good DC (267pts in 10 games WOW)
3. Find 11 best athletes(combo of skill/lineman), highest hit score (weight/40time) goes to fullback, rest of 10 goes to defense. *( Marshall's best Athlete won't play a down of offense in college, he is too valuable for that side of the ball ) Tell'em why B!
4. Find passer.. gotta throw
5. Find catchers. no matter how slow they are( I say slow, because the fast kids will be DB's), as long as they catch the ball.



But that is beside the point, it starts like this, 3rd and 4th in the dist and then goes down hill from there. Now since they changed the rules AGAIN to let over half the district inthe playoffs, I guess Marshall fans , will conitinue to be happy. They have for years, but with all the talent Marshall has year in and year out, I find it uneceptable. And for those coaches that you could care less about, they have state titles on their walls and know bad coaching when they see it. When they just shake their heads as how a team that is as talented as Marshall is play the way they have, I know I listen. Yea, it may not matter to some here, but that is the problem. Just let me know in 2 years what you think, scratch that, the Marshall attitude is 4th place is fine, as long as we get in the playoffs.

Again, Dennis PArker and Rodney Southern understoood what to do with the talent MArshall has every year, Ralph Harris, Bill Harper, and Thed harris do not..

Hold on B, Ralph did have Eric Dickerson at Sealy to get his title.

I know from experience that winning with talent isn't the only key. Organization, X and O's, time management and Motivation is the key.Winnings coaches can get the bottom of the talent pool on a team to play above their heads.Your only strong as your weakest link.
