I think the disappointing thing is "the three teams ahead of them are all OUTSTANDING (top ten) teams" and we had the lobos right where we wanted them, and had a shot at a flat Texas High team, only to be out coached. Thats very disapponting to me. We are just as talented as anyone in this district...player wise atleast.

To answer the question that footbalcrazy asked..."Does anyone think that there might be some movement in the coaching staff after this year?!", well let me answer like this, unless a lot of things change quickly, I hope so. Im tired of seeing the Mavs put in a position to lose rather than in a position to win.

Predictable play calling, not using ALL of your offensive weapons, not making adjustments, only covering three wr's with TWO db's, taking FIVE timeouts with you to the locker room at halftime in the last two weeks when you had the ball to end the half and NEEDED TO SCORE, are all problems that this current coaching staff cant seem to fix.

Last week against Sulphur Springs we had the ball with a little over a minute left before the half. We ran a couple of plays and the clock ran down to around :30 left. Coach Harris didnt call a single timeout yet he still ran plays. If your not going to use your timeouts then take a knee. Dont keep ruuning plays that could result in a fumble recovery or int going the other way for six. The almost exact thing happened against Texas High the week before. Thats poor, poor, poor execution of BASIC GAME MANAGEMENT.

I hate the thought of a coaching change, but Coach Harris isnt geting the job done if you ask me. I think the program Coach Southern built, is a great program, but it takes the right people in the right positions for anything to be successful.
