Is it just me or has Sam turned it on the last couple of weeks? Ive been hearing his name a lot on the radio and it seems like when big plays/stops need to be made, hes there.

I have to admit that early in the year I was calling for him to be replaced. He looked slow, confused and generally out of place most of the time. BUT I will
have to agree with you. He has used aggressiveness and good technique to counter his lack of speed to become one of our better defenders as of late. KEEP UP

In my opinion, Sam played one of his best games of the season this past Friday night vs. Texas High. He was all over the place, including the backfield on many
occassions. The linebacker corp as a whole has jelled into a fine unit, just like the linebackers from the 2004 season.

Sam was the defensive player of the game, after the game some of us were saying the same thing about Sam. He has really been playing well, without a doubt the
linebackers are the Mavs strongest part of their defense.

Leroy has always said that I pick out one scrappy defensive dude out of every class, and Sam Oney has been mine for two years. His energy on the field and the
sidelines is amazing. He's intense. Love that young man!
